Antrad Medical AB is a Swedish Med tech company specializing in thawing frozen blood plasma. The Antrad UFT technology is protected by globally approved patents.
The Antrad thawing process is well tested and analyzed by leading clinical partners at renowned hospitals using temperature monitoring and techniques such as HPLC-MS. Positive results have been published in a leading scientific journals.
Management
CEO, Kurt Högnelid. Born in 1961. Mr. Högnelid is the CEO of Antrad Medical AB. Mr. Högnelid has more than 20 years of professional experience and has held several senior management positions in different companies. Mr. Högnelid spent the first eleven years of his career at Siemens-Elema in different positions. He was responsible for the product unit Life Support Systems (now Maquet Critical care), which was an operation with 270 employees and annual consolidated revenues of 1 billion SEK, during his last three years at Siemens. Mr. Högnelid has spent the last years in start-up companies such as Sendit, Microsoft, ZoomON, Perific and CathPrint. Mr. Högnelid has a M.Sc. in Applied Physics and Electronics from the University of Linköping.
CTO, Lars Ekemar. Born in 1957. ME. Inventor of the Radio Field Oven 1990 and Founder of Antrad System AB 1995. Previous positions include: Managing his own consultancy business 1990-95; Senior Chemical Analyst, Analytica AB 1988-90; and Operator of electron microscopy, NMR and mass spectrometry, Jeol (Skandiaviska) AB 1985-88.
VP R&D, Pierre Westin. Born 1966 and has a M.Sc.E.E. from the Royal institute of technology. Mr. Westin has spent his first 10 years of his career as a consultant within electronic design in the areas of medical technology and telecom. In the latest 7 years he has experience from project management and management related issues. Some positions held: 2002-05; Founder and project manager for system development at venture capital financed start-up company (Cernolux AB). 2005-07; Project manager for system development at Sectra Mamea AB (Digital mammography systems). 2007-09; Project manager for delivery and system development at Teleste Video Networks AB (Video surveillance systems).
